The 8 Finalists for Latina Performer of the Decade were determined by a panel of writers and webmasters. Each judge was given a ballot which included the names of 43 nominees who met the required qualifications for this award. Each judge was asked to rank their Top 10 performers based on a number of factors.

Performers receiving a #1 rank would gain 10 points while a #10 rank would earn 1 point. All ballots were tabulated and the 8 performers with most points would be named finalists and move to the fan voting stage.
